TLGLF Sliding Vane Pumps Ductile-Iron Multi-Purpose Pumps for Bulk Mobile LPG Applications

Blackmer® TLGLF3 and TLGLF4 pumps, part of the Cavitation Line of sliding vane pumps, are designed to flange mount directly to a commercial internal control valve, in combination with the tank of a bobtail or transport truck, and are ideal for LPG, butane and anhydrous ammonia applications. Direct mounting eliminates the need for inlet pipes, shut-off valve and external strainer, which can restrict flow and cause vaporization problems. The result is smoother operation and longer pump life.

Features and Benefits

  • Pumps are listed by Underwriters Laboratory for both LPG and anhydrous ammonia (NH3) service
  • Cavitation suppression liner design for reducing the noise, vibration, and wear normally caused by entrained vapors
  • Replaceable casing, liners and end discs allow easy rebuilding of the pumping chamber to like-new condition
  • Ductile-iron construction with internal relief valve
  • Equipped with a double-ended drive shaft for clockwise or counterclockwise rotation by simply changing position of pump
  • Contains auxiliary intake port which can be used for emergency unloading of another tank or transport
  • Durable pumps for fast and quiet operation, providing sustained performance and trouble-free operation
  • Blackmer mechanical seal and ball bearing construction provide maximum reliability
  • Symmetrical bearing support assures even loading and wear for long life
  • Internal relief valve protects pump against excessive pressures
  • External ball bearings are isolated from pumpage by mechanical seals to maximize bearing life and minimize contamination risk
  • Advantages of sliding vane technology:
    • Unique sliding-vane pump design self-adjusts for wear to maintain flow rates
    • Excellent self-priming and dry-run capabilities
    • Sliding vane design provides sustained performance and trouble-free operation
    • Easy maintenance: vanes can be easily replaced without removing the pump from the piping system
    • High suction lift and line-stripping capabilities
    • Low maintenance and low life-cycle costs

Applications

  • Direct mounted, mobile installations found on:
    • Bobtail trucks
    • Transport trucks
    • LPG
    • Butane
    • Anhydrous ammonia
UL-LISTED for use in Propane, Butane, and Anhydrous Ammonia
