Wilden® Accu-Flo™ Series AODD Pumps for Electronic Control Applications

Accu-Flo™ Series Air-Operated Double-Diaphragm (AODD) Pumps give you the critical external pump control necessary for exacting applications such as batching. Featuring a direct electrical interface that utilizes electrical impulses to stroke the pump instead of differential pressure, the Accu-Flo Series provides a variable stroke rate that you can easily control as needed. To meet your applications, Accu-Flo Series pumps are available as NEMA 5, NEMA 7 or ATEX-compliant, and come in a variety of voltage options.

  • Integrated electronic (solenoid) control
  • Multiple signal input voltage options: 24V DC, 12V DC, 24 AC and 110V AC
  • Proven, robust construction: bolted or clamped

Applications

  • Chemical Dosing
  • Adaptive Dosing
  • Batching Processes
  • Blending
  • Systems and Skids

How It Works

The Accu-Flo Air Distribution System (ADS) employs a two-position, four-way solenoid valve that has a single operator and spring return. The valve is internally air-piloted for longer coil and operator life.

  1. Air pressure is utilized to fill air chambers and displace the diaphragms, but electrical impulses dictate the stroke rate.
  2. When the solenoid is unpowered, the air valve piston is held by a spring to the top of the air valve body.
  3. In this position, the air supply is directed to the right side of the pump while the left air chamber is exhausted.
  4. When the solenoid is powered by electricity, air pressure is routed to the top of the air valve piston, which overcomes the tension of the spring and forces the piston down.
  5. In this position, the air valve piston directs the air supply to the left side of the pump and exhausts the right side.
  6. By alternately applying and removing electrical power, the Accu-Flo Series pump reciprocates back and forth in a fashion similar to standard air-operated pumps.
