Innovative Pump Technology Backed By World-Class Expertise
Mouvex was founded in 1906 by engineer André Petit, who set out to improve upon commonly used gear and lobe pumps. These pumps often struggled to deliver the efficiency, reliability and gentle product handling that many processes required.
Petit’s solution was a groundbreaking concept: the eccentric disc pump. Designed to deliver consistent flow with minimal pulsation and exceptional product recovery, his invention has forever transformed fluid transfer applications. Mouvex® pumps are now an essential part of the PSG Hygienic family.
Benefits of the Mouvex Eccentric Disc Pump Design
Eccentric disc pumps are exceptionally well-suited for hygienic and sanitary applications. Engineered to mitigate the challenges of liquid transfer, Mouvex eccentric disc pumps consist of a cylinder and pumping element mounted on an eccentric shaft.
As the shaft rotates, the pumping element forms chambers within the cylinder, increasing cylinder size at the intake port to draw fluid into the pumping chamber. The fluid then moves to the discharge port, where the pumping chamber size decreases, expelling it.
