The History of ipp

Founded in 2004 in the Osnabrück region of Germany, ipp manufactures high-tech pumps at its Bersenbrück facility, employing a highly skilled workforce and sourcing components largely from the local area.

Used worldwide in the food, pharmaceutical, and cosmetics industries, ipp pumps offer reliability, hygienic design and efficient handling of sensitive media.

Since June 2025, ipp has been part of PSG, a Dover company, a global leader in pump and fluid-handling solutions. This integration strengthens the company’s international market presence and expands its portfolio in advanced rotary lobe pump technologies.



 

2004

The company was founded in Osnabrück, Germany by Thomas Moldenhauer, and began the distribution of hygienic rotary lobe pumps in Central Europe.

2005

Our first sales office opened in Donaueschingen, Baden-Württemberg. Our sales portfolio expanded to include centrifugal pumps, impeller pumps, eccentric screw pumps and piston pumps.

2007

We brought production in-house and successfully launched the innovative, high-quality Premiumlobe rotary lobe pump.

2008

Premiumlobe successfully entered series production, and the first newly developed Fluidbag eccentric screw pump, FLB, was delivered.

2009

The company moved to Bersenbrück, expanding production possibilities in the former Röscherwerke buildings. We established a partnership with Kunz Industriepumpen as a local distribution partner.

2008

Production began on a new high-pressure pump that can handle up to 80 bar, a unique market-first technology. Truck pumps extend the product portfolio. The company discontinues the distribution of third-party brands to focus on the development and construction of our own products.

2012

Our engineers developed the small premium edition iLobe, which launched after the patent application. We optimized and extended the iLobe and Premiumlobe series. We also expanded offerings into the USA, France, Turkey, South Korea, Belgium, China, India, Poland and the Netherlands.

2013

The iLobe series was completed with 10 different models going into series production. Premiumlobe was expanded to include 25 models.

2014

We introduced a range of diverse rotor profiles.

2015

A patent was granted for the proprietary heat exchanger in iLobe, and we added the circumferential piston pump iLobe iL115iKK.

2016

We achieved ISO 9001-2015 certification and expanded plant equipment and capabilities by adding a laser welding system for smart repair.

2017

Our portfolio further expanded when we added the iLobe rotary lobe pump iL42i, bringing the total number of iLobe pump models to 16.

2018

New employees for laboratory tests strengthened customer service and sustainability.

2019

We added iL130 models to the iLobe rotary lobe pump portfolio, bringing the total to 20 iLobe models.

2020

Further development of Premiumlobe rotary lobe pumps led to the production of Premiumlobe pumps made of PEEK.

2021

We expanded our team in 2021 despite the coronavirus pandemic.

2022

In addition to machining, ipp brought laser and TIG welding processes in-house.

We developed, manufactured and delivered a new series of hygienic aqueous centrifugal pumps.

2024

We further expanded our in-house manufacturing capabilities by adding electrical discharge machining (EDM).

2025

PSG Germany GmbH acquires ipp Pump Products GmbH, making ipp a part of the Dover Corporation.
