Many of the world’s governments have enacted policies that guarantee that alternative motor fuels made from renewable, domestic resources will play a growing role in the world’s energy sector. Already fuels that are made from renewable resources like ethanol and biodiesel are carving out a niche in the global motor-fuel pool. In addition to lessening reliance on non-domestic sources of crude oil around the world, the use of biofuels will also help build a “clean” energy economy since they burn cleaner than traditional petroleum products like gasoline and diesel fuel.
