To optimize pump performance in high-viscosity applications:
Use large suction lines: To minimize friction losses, suction lines should be up to three times the size of the pump ports.
Minimize lift: Position the pump as close as possible to the fluid level, or ideally, below it.
Start slowly: Initiate the fluid flow gradually using an air line valve. Begin by cracking the valve open slowly and setting the appropriate air pressure.
